Peels at a glance

A medical-grade peel uses a controlled solution to renew the outer layers of the skin, improving tone, texture and clarity. Colette chooses the peel and its strength for your skin. Depending on the peel, skin may flake or peel for several days.

Safety first

Is a peel right for you?

Before treatment, Colette reviews your skin, health history and medications, and may defer a peel if you are pregnant or nursing, have active cold sores or a skin infection, have recent sunburn, or have taken isotretinoin recently. Stop retinol 5 days before your peel and protect your skin from the sun afterwards. Call the studio at (480) 935-6775 if you have any concerns after your visit.

Questions

Asked and answered

Will my skin peel?

It depends on the peel. Some cause visible peeling for several days, others only light flaking. Colette will tell you what to expect before you book.

Most people feel warmth or tingling for a few minutes while the peel is on.

Allow at least one to two weeks so any peeling has settled.

VI Peel, Marini SkinSolutions and PRX-T33 suit different skin and goals. Colette will choose one at your visit.

Yes. Stop retinol 5 days before your peel, and tell us about any other active products or prescription skincare.

Some people see a difference after one, but a series is often recommended for pigmentation or texture. Colette will suggest a plan.

Colette assesses and performs every treatment herself.
